Welcome to GLP-1 Meal Companion ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GLP-1 Meal Companion application, website, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

Please read these Terms carefully, especially the Medical Disclaimer in Section 3 and the Limitation of Liability in Section 10.

2. Service Description

GLP-1 Meal Companion is an AI-powered meal recommendation application designed to help users taking GLP-1 receptor agonist medications (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound) make informed food choices.

Our Service provides:

• AI-powered chat assistance for meal recommendations based on your preferences and dietary needs
• Restaurant menu scanning and analysis to identify suitable options
• Personalized suggestions based on your medication type, dietary restrictions, allergies, and protein goals
• The ability to save favorite meals and recommendations

Our Service is intended to be a helpful companion tool, not a replacement for professional medical or nutritional advice.

3. Medical Disclaimer

The information provided by our Service is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or received through our Service.

GLP-1 medications affect appetite, digestion, and metabolism differently for each person. Your healthcare provider is the best source of guidance for your specific medical situation.

4. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Be at least 18 years old (or 13 with parental consent)
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide false information.

5. Subscription & Billing

Free Trial

New users receive a 3-day free trial. During the trial, you have full access to your selected plan's features. Your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Subscription Plans

• Basic Plan: $4.99/month - 30 chat messages and 5 menu scans per month
• Pro Plan: $9.99/month - Unlimited chat messages, unlimited menu scans, and premium features

Billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

Refunds

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us within 14 days of the charge. Refunds will not be provided for partial months of service.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from our Service
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of our Service
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account
• Use the Service to provide medical advice to others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our AI models or algorithms

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, software, and the compilation thereof, are the exclusive property of GLP-1 Meal Companion or our licensors.

Our Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any content from our Service without our prior written permission.

The AI-generated meal recommendations provided by our Service are for your personal use only and may not be redistributed commercially.

8. User-Generated Content

When you use our Service, you may submit content including chat messages, dietary preferences, meal photos, and other information ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your content solely to provide and improve our Service.

We do not use your personal User Content to train AI models or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for more details on how we handle your data.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services to provide functionality:

• Supabase: Authentication and database services
• Stripe: Payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude AI): AI-powered chat and recommendations
• Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure

These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these services.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLP-1 MEAL COMPANION AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any health outcomes resulting from following meal recommendations
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
• Service interruptions or data loss

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GLP-1 Meal Companion and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and deleting your account through the app settings or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:

• Breach these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Pose a security risk to our Service or other users

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Data retention after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:

• Sending an email to your registered email address
• Displaying a prominent notice within the Service
• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally. If we cannot resolve a dispute within 30 days, either party may proceed to binding arbitration.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language.

YOU AGREE TO WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS. This arbitration agreement does not preclude you from bringing issues to the attention of regulatory agencies.

15. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and GLP-1 Meal Companion regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
